I’d say this dress is the epitome of a tumblr girl outfit. It’s white linen, we’ve got knots we’ve got wooden button detail, we’ve got casual off shoulder detail and we’ve got a healthy thigh split. What more could you want? Nothing. It’s the Free People summer dress of dreams.

The Perfect Free People Summer Dress
When I saw this dress on the Free People site I may have got a little TOO excited. It’s funny how a dress can still have this effect on me despite the fact that part of my job is shopping, you’d think I’d loose the joy a little but no. I don’t think the day will ever come where I say “I’ve got enough clothes now”. The best bit about it? They do more colours!
I wore this back home a couple of times then did a repeat in Thailand which may or may not have ended up with me in the deep end of the pool fully dressed. Yes guys, I can confirm this dress is durable! Unfortunately I didn’t get any shots of the dress in or out of the pool so we’ve only got the homegrown shots to go with but it’s fine because I’ll be wearing it loads more, just you wait.
When I first wore it at home I made the huge error of wearing black pants. Yes it’s linen but it’s also very thin and the pant situation was not a good one. Second time round I took a little white boob tube to wear as a skirt and cover my modesty and a pair of nude pants. Turned out the boob tube wasn’t necessary. Moral of the story? Blame the pants not the dress.
Second time round I accessorized with a raffia belt and I have to say it took it from a 9.5 to a 10 out of 10. Not feeling the belt? Just add tons of gold jewellery, some mules and you’re ready to go.
