Last week I had the pleasure of visiting the Annabelle hotel in Paphos, Cyprus to try out the hotel and basically, just relax! We went from Friday morning to Monday night and I can honestly say I had the most relaxing time, trying out the facilities and enjoying the Autumn Cyprus sunshine! I wanted to share with you some more info about the hotel as although this is a 5 star hotel, at this time of year they offer an amazing rate for rooms which also includes breakfast and lunch. So if you’re looking for the last of summer then you should definitely consider a visit!
The Annabelle Hotel, Cyprus
THE ROOM
The room I stayed in was incredible, two floors complete with two balconies, marble floors, rooftop views and a bathroom big enough for a family of 10, all for little old me. I was in heaven! The bed was really comfortable and as I said to my Fiance when I rang home to brag about my trip, the bed was three pillow widths wide . . uh-mazing! Both upstairs and downstairs in the room had aircon which I think is important to say because often I get to hotels and they don’t have aircon despite the fact that I always assume everywhere has it now! Both of my balconies had a sea view complete with comfy chairs so you can bask in the sun in privacy if you don’t fancy heading down to the pool.
THE FOOD
There are so many restaurants across both Annabelle and Almyra which are sister hotels sat beside one another on the sea front. All guests are free to go between the two and we had dinner lunch and breakfast across both properties. My favourite for breakfast was definitely the Eauzone at Almyra, we also had drinks one evening and watched the sunset by the sea at Ouzeri at Almyra which I would 100% recommend! One day we had an amazing lunch at Mediterraneo at Annabelle of traditional greek mezze type food and amazing wine! If you want a fancy dinner one night then definitely head to the Amorosa at Annabelle, I had the most delicious chicken milanese!
THE FACILITIES
There were so many outdoor pools I couldn’t keep count along with an indoor pool with an out door area to sit in the sun or some loungers inside to relax and take a nap or read a book! There’s also a swim up bar. a huge jacuzzi and the best thing is that as it’s not so busy at the moment, there was always space around any one of the pools. I sat one afternoon to catch up on my emails (not exactly relaxing I know) by the indoor pool and no one else was there which was super peaceful! Almyra also have an incredible infinity pool that’s definitely worth taking advantage of if you get a chance!
THE LOCATION
The location was really great in my opinion though we didn’t have a chance to explore much outside of the hotel as there was so much to do on site. We did however go to the beautiful mosaics which was just a couple of minutes down the road in a taxi and definitely worth a visit, they’re incredible! The best bit about the location to me is that you can walk down from the pool to the beach and some of the restaurants even had sea front seating.
THE SPA
I had the heavenly body massage at the spa and it was absolutely amazing. It was so relaxing and they work on the nervous system which was 100% something I needed after the stress and uncertainty of moving house. It was also a really soft and relaxing massage, sometimes they can be super heavy handed and it feels more like they’re beating you up than calming you down but this one was so light and calming I fell asleep twice! Once on my back and once on my front! I would highly recommend it!
