Those Gucci Loafers and the perfect dupes
So if there’s anything I’m obsessed with at the moment (and totally out of my price range) it’s Gucci. That Gucci bag, those Gucci loafers . . I want it all! I have to let you know I did treat myself to something from Gucci actually for my birthday and I’ve done a little unboxing on my youtube which might be up by now, if not it will be soon! This is where I am, I’m saving for the bag because I must have it. I also treated myself to something I’ve had my eye on for a while, but those Gucci loafers? I need them too! I don’t have the budget for all of this though so I found the perfect solution. The perfect dupes for those Gucci Loafers My solution, is dupes! I’m not a fan of the whole dupe thing when it comes to shops like Shein who do exact copies. Don’t get me wrong if you yourself like it then go for it! My sister has a few of the Chloe dupes and she loves them so much, it’s just not for me, I want to have the excitement of saving for the real thing and having the quality item that I can love forever. So when I talk about dupes I’m talking about high street dupes. Topshop have excelled this season in satisfying my thirst for Gucci – seriously I’m like Edward when he’s around Bella in Twilight – parched! They’ve succeeded in doing the best high street dupe for those Gucci loafers we all love, and whats more they come in an array of colours. Perhaps you could condone spending £400+ on Gucci shoes if they were black, classic and will last forever, but for brightly coloured, trend driven pieces I just can’t imagine forking out such an amount! Anyway, I don’t actually own any loafers and didn’t know how much wear I’d get from them so even though they weren’t in my budget, I thought saving then spending on a pair of shoes I didn’t know how much wear I’d get out of them would be pretty irresponsible of me! So I’ve got these Topshop loafers with the agreement to myself, that if I wear them all of the time, I’ll get those Gucci loafers. What do you think? Thoughts on Superdry? So I know this post is all about the shoes. But lets just take a minute to look at my new shirt, from Superdry. I know, I shocked myself. It’s not that I dislike Superdry, but I just never saw myself wearing it and always wrote it off as a joggers and hoodies kind of brand. So when I was kindly gifted a voucher I headed in (on the same day I was shopping for my birthday!) and I was so so surprised that I actually found it hard what to choose because there was too much. I’ve seriously changed my mind on Superdry guys, this shirt is so nice as well. Credit where credit is due, my boyfriend actually picked this one out!…
View PostDressing for a Wedding
As something that I personally struggle with (don’t we all) and as a requested post by one of my most loyal and lovely followers Vicky, I thought I would do a post on dressing for a wedding. What’s acceptable? What are the rules? And most importantly, where do I go when I’m looking for the perfect outfit? Dressing for a Wedding – is this OK? So this is something I never would have considered for a wedding. Firstly, it’s got the two colours you want to avoid at all costs when dressing for a wedding, secondly, I’ve never worn anything other than a dress to a wedding before. I’m kinda loving it though. So much so that my mind’s been made up and I’m wearing it to an upcoming wedding I’ve got. No need to fake tan or shave, comfortable and very forgiving – perfect for when I make a beeline for the evening buffet. My mum always told me not to wear white to a wedding so not to show up the bride but does a crop top really count? I’m pretty sure I’d wear a black and white dress so I’m gonna say this is ok. What do we think? I would really like to hear your thoughts! Help me to decide! Shop My Wedding Look Shops to consider when dressing for a wedding So if you’re not a fan of this look and you’re looking for some shopping inspo, I thought I’d list my favourite places to shop for wedding looks with a few of my top picks from each store! Asos Asos will always be one of my fave places to look for, well anything. If Asos don’t sell it I don’t want it . . unless Zara do. They even have a handy little section for wedding guests, bridesmaids and even brides . . whaaa? I seriously recommend this as your first port of call, free shipping and returns makes it too easy. Reiss Reiss is another amazing choice when dressing for a wedding. My sister used to work there when she was at uni and I was always obsessed with the beautiful silky dresses she brought home as “uniform” – alright for some! It is a higher price point but it’s always good to have something you can wear time and time again for special occasions just tweaking the accessories to give it a new look every time. They also have a handy little wedding shop for getting inspo! Mango Mango is somewhere I definitely prefer to shop online as I feel like I can never see anything I love in store unless I’m particularly looking for something. I see it as a bit of a cross between H&M and Zara landing in the sweet spot just between the two! They too have a handy wedding shop! Missguided Missguided is somewhere I often overlook for dresses as I can sometimes label it in my mind as a bit ‘slutty’ not everything, but the dresses I just always imagine to be bodycon and bum skimming. I’m always reminded of how wrong I…
View PostShop With Me!
I thought I’d do a little post on how I like to shop and how you can shop with me. I know it seems a bit random but bare with me and you’ll get the gist! My favourite place to get inspo on what to buy is to look at my favourite fashion bloggers – yes, believe it or not, as a fashion blogger I still get inspo from other bloggers. Some of my favourites are Emma Hill, Monikh Dale and Hannah Crosskey go and check them out now! Wellll, actually, maybe you could just finish reading my post and check them out afterwards . . So basically, when I want to buy something new, you know when you’re in the mood to shop, you’ve got money in your bank account for once, and the internet is just a sea of possibilities – too many possibilities. This is when I look to my fave’s, if you haven’t got the time or the patience to scroll through so many different websites I always look at what they’ve been blogging about and obviously as instagram is an ever inspiring page for making me spend I love looking at their liketoknow.it pages – more on this in a minute. Take these sandals for example, I saw these whilst I was strolling the streets of London, happily minding my own business slash stalking on instagram. When Hannah posted a picture of these amazing chloe dupes (see the chloe ones here) proclaiming they were only £24.99 from Mango . . off I went to Mango, no luck – clicked on her liketoknow.it and there they were, sitting in my basket- at the checkout – in my hands. It’s almost too easy! Shop With Me on Liketoknow.it So liketoknow.it I’ve been using for a while now – both as an influencer and as a consumer. I can therefore give you all of the insight! I’ve made a little diagram of how it works below to show you more simply! But basically, you sign up at liketoknow.it – I’m pretty sure you only have to put in your name and email then confirm – it’s not a long ass form asking what your mums first pet was called. Then once you’ve signed up, it links your instagram to your email, so that if you liked say, my instagram picture, and I’ve linked it to my liketoknow.it then you’ll get an email with links to where everything I’m wearing’s from and you’ll be safe in the knowledge that you can browse these emails at your leisure! BUT if you don’t want these emails you can go to my liketoknow.it page www.liketoknow.it/sineadcrowe and all of my insta pictures will be listed with the products below – the same as on the email example but in a long list! Now, I know some of you hate the idea of this as I’ve heard many a time that the emails bother you – personally I like being able to browse them and keep them for payday but each to their own. So, for all you haters out there…
View PostHead to Toe for Under £50
Yes, you read that right. I got this whole outfit (minus the jacket) for under £50. So that jacket isn’t included but it’s just a finishing touch and are you seriously saying that a top, skirt, shoes and sunglasses isn’t enough, there’s just no pleasing some people! The Joy of Supermarket Shopping – An outfit under £50 Supermarket shopping (for clothes) is something that is seriously underrated. I guess by now you’ll have realised that this look is from a supermarket, Tesco’s to be specific and their F&F range. Personally, I think the idea of being able to buy your bananas and clothing in the same shop is as off-putting to me as it is appealing to a Mum of 3 with no spare time. I mean, us fashionistas would never be seen at the checkout of our local Tesco’s with a top in hand. . would we? If I’m totally honest – in the past I have been known to be quite the supermarket shopper and I’m not just talking socks, pants and pjs. When you can get an outfit for under £50 why on earth wouldn’t you be? Choosing Key Pieces When I do go supermarket clothes shopping, I like to stick to a few rules if you like. I feel like this outfit truly is an exception though, because I would never normally advise going head to toe, though it’s obviously something that can be done! Firstly, when I buy from F&F, I tend to go for pieces that I know I won’t be wearing day in day out. You can’t pay £10 for a top and expect it to last you a lifetime. This is why I like to go for more trend led pieces that I know I’ll only want for a season. If they last longer, great, if they don’t? They’ve done the job they were destined for! I was kindly gifted a £50 voucher to pick something to style up, when I started looking I found everything I wanted for under £50 and even managed to treat myself to a pair of socks. I was so shocked! I mean, I knew it was cheap but this is just something else! Shop Online Firstly, I’ll let you into a little tip i’ve discovered. You can get you’re bits delivered to store for free, and that can be any Tesco’s store – including the little Tesco metros! They don’t have to sell clothes. Shopping online is the way forward for me, depending on where you live you’ll be lucky to find anything you see in the lookbooks and ad’s in Elle Magazine etc in your local Tesco. I live in a small town and my nearest city is Peterborough – not exactly the fashion capital of the UK, I’d say they’re selling more crocs and velour tracksuits than what I’m after! Sorry if you’re from Peterborough but you know it’s true. Tell me now – have I changed your mind on supermarket shopping!? *Jacket : Fashion Bazaar *Top : F&F @ Tesco *Skirt : F&F @ Tesco *Sandals : F&F @…
