So since we did the Lisbon Food Guide, I thought it was only right that I told you a little bit about H10 Duque De Loule, AKA the most gorgeous hotel and where we stayed whilst visiting Lisbon. It truely is the perfect mix of modern and traditional with the perfect location, walking distance to the centre with some gems on your front door step. Keep reading to find out more!
H10 Duque De Loule
When we found H10 Duque De Loule on our quest for the perfect hotel room we thought we’d struck gold! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and an interiors dream. It feels super fresh and modern with traditional touches like the blue and white Portugese tile details. We found it so comfortable and in the perfect location with great facitilites like the underground parking and rooftop bar.
LOCATION
We found that H10 Duque De Loule was located perfectly. In our old age we’re not too bothered about being situated in the centre of the night life so the 10 minute walk to the main square with all of the shops and restaurants was absolutely fine by us. And the walk down there? Well you walk down one long road littered with stores like Loewe, Gucci, Louis Vuitton . . it’s not a bad walk at all and obviously accidents can happen if you accidentally trip and fall into one of these stores on your walk down.
PARKING
I thought I would mention this just because we had a car with us – we were road tripping from the coast to Lisbon and back down again, it was super handy that they had parking below the hotel despite the fact that you had to pay for it. There were quite a few roads around that you probably could have got away with parking on for free but we were tired and lazy so we just parked at the hotel car park and I don’t think it was too expensive!
H10 DUQUE DE LOULE ROOFTOP BAR
The roof top bar at our hotel was actually one that someone recommended us to go to, we went up a few times to chill with a glass of wine or an aperol spritz and watch the sun go down or for a night cap after our evening out! They also do super cute bar snacks which are delicious and also I’ve not even mentioned yet the incredible view across Lisbon that you get from the rooftop bar!
THE BED
I don’t know about you but I’m someone who takes sleep very seriously so I was pleasantly surprised to find a gigantic bed when we arrived to the room and it was so so comfy we laid in most days which let me tell you now is not something we normally do. Jacks a terrible sleeper and he loves to get up early and explore, so for him to have laid in and slept so well, you know it’s a good bed. We even had talks after about how to find out about this amazing bed and what the mattress was!
THE ROOM
The room itself was a dream. It was so so spacious with beautiful attention to detail. I know spaciousness might not be at the top of your list for a hotel room but I am a m e s s y person so having a spacious room means my floordrobe doesn’t get into Jacks way and it’s a happy hotel room. The decor is super beautiful and very traditional with the famous tiles all over the walls, if you’re a fellow instagrammer and want to get some insta worthy shots then this is definitely the place to go!
